Our Coffee
Roasting Process

We can’t give away all our secrets, but we can tell you that we roast all our coffee blends right here in the Swan Valley.

The first part of the process is choosing the bean flavour combinations. We import our specialty coffee beans from all over the world to get a range of flavours and aromas.

Our resident coffee bean guy knows the growers personally and has intimate knowledge gained from visiting the plantations to see the crops, the harvesting, the drying and washing processes.

All our blends are a combination of two or three bean varieties. We have worked with coffee sommeliers to get the percentages for the blends right, to get the best flavours working in harmony.

The research and procurement is out of the way now. So, once the beans arrive here in WA, we work hard on getting the roast right. The roasting process takes a bit of a knack to ensure the flavours don’t spoil. Getting this process down pat isn’t easy. It can take days, even months to figure it out. The difference between a good or bad roast is only a matter of seconds.
