Our Ava coffee blend has tangy citrus and stone fruit flavours delicately roasted to highlight notes of chocolate sweetness. This more complex blend balances the sweetness of the honey, marmalade and maple syrup taken from three coffee bean sources.
Honey, orange rind and cocoa flavours come from beans sourced from Guatemala, grown on the banks of a crater lake formed by a volcanic eruption some 20,000 years ago. For the sweet dark chocolate flavour of this blend, we have gone straight to Ethiopia for coffee beans that have been growing in the area since forever.
To top it off, we have extracted peachy and milk chocolate flavours from coffee beans grown on farms in the Andes mountains of Colombia, all contributing to this full bodied flavour profile.
After all that travelling, these coffee beans have come together for roasting here in the picturesque Swan Valley in Western Australia to create an exotic, yet local blend. This process makes Ava the kind of bean you’ll reach for when you want a coffee with some zing and a taste of chocolate.
